Avnet will be the value added distributor for Websense Partners to Address Growing Market Demand for Web and messaging security solutions

Sydney, Australia, FEB 25, 2008 -- Avnet Technology Solutions, a value-added distributor of enterprise computing products, software and services, and an operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT) today announced a new distribution agreement with Websense (NASDAQ: WBSN), a global leader in integrated Web, messaging and data protection technologies,  Under the terms of the agreement, Avnet will distribute and provide services and support for all of Websense’s Web and e-mail security solutions to authorised value-added reseller partners in Australia.

Previously, Avnet was a distributor for SurfControl prior to its acquisition by Websense in October 2007.  During this time, the organisation developed market and channel momentum for SurfControl’s on demand security solutions, including its e-mail, Web and mobile filtering products.
